IT@work - What IT Should Be

Services

IT@work, by nature of being based in an isolated part of New Zealand, find ourselves in a position where we are relied on to provide the same services as you would expect from large city providers - but at better rates, within tighter time frames and across a huge geographical region.

We are the only Hewlett Packard Premier Business Partners on the West Coast and we provide on-site engineering support for Gen-I New Zealand's West Coast corporate customers. The West Coast is a huge area to cover, and while the variety and complexity of the work involved can be challenging, it does mean that every day is certainly different from the one before.

IT@work provides:
  • On-site hardware and software support
  • Workshop repairs and servicing
  • Customised Software Development
  • Website Design, See below.
  • Networking: design, cabling, installation and support
  • Servers: design, installation and support

What IT Should Be
Tip of the minute!

Save folders after a crash (XP)

If you have lots of folders open in Windows XP, when one of them crashes, they will all close. This can be avoided by using a hidden option. Open the Control Panel, then choose Folder Options. Move to the View tab and scroll down through the list of options until you get to one called ‘Launch folder windows in a separate process’. Place a tick next to it, then click OK.
